Runfold Plastics manufactures asset protection shrouds and covers to the overhead equipment and switchgear markets.
(1) Bushing Protector Caps
The asset covers offer protection from animal intruders who can cause outages.
– Suitable for LV and HV applications
– Material is light stable for outside performance
– Offers protection against environmental conditions
– Product will not hold or retain water.
Shrouds are supplied with tie wraps or push through clips ready for installation. We have standard tooling available and we also work on custom designs.
Bird Caps
We were asked by our international customer to work with them to manufacture a custom bird cap.
A drawing was supplied to us, from which a prototype tool was made.
Samples of the caps were made using the prototype tool.
In our secondary operations department, holes were punched into the covers ready for the cable ties.
Upon approval of samples, production tooling for bulk volume manufacture was made.
Thousands of the plastic bird caps were then manufactured and shipped to our customer.
