A leading manufacturer of industrial gas burners was experiencing faults with the electronic controllers. This failure was a result of high pressure jet washing in the environment in which the controllers are used.
The existing internal gasket seal was unable to prevent total stoppage of water ingress. An additional outer cover was required as a protective shield against direct water jet exposure.
Runfold Plastics designed a cover which could be fitted onto the controller. The main profile was manufactured using the dip moulding process. Using our in-house secondary operations facility a transparent panel was then fitted to the cover to protect the function keys.
Following testing and trials, the complete product has been approved.
The cover provides total protection to the electronic control unit.
